When he learned that Chuck Beck was making replicas, he decided to commission one for his very own. After a three-year wait, Akira got his car in 2009. He imported a Porsche racing six-cylinder motor from Japan to put where the four-cylinder would normally be. As an engineer, former race mechanic, and technology-oriented person, Akira tunes his custom car constantly via laptop. He uses the car for everything - street, autocross, and even track days.
